By the term immediate implant placement we mean that the implant can be placed at the time of tooth extraction. Earlier protocols required the placement of implants into healed edentulous ridge ( healed bone or socket). This used to take about 3-6 months depending on the healing process. The intention of placing immediate implants is to

(i) reduce the number of surgical procedures,
(ii) to preserve the dimensions of alveolar ridge,
(iii) to reduce the interval between removal of the tooth and insertion of implant supported restoration.

And in some cases it is required to fill the marginal void between the implant and the bone using bone grafts and barrier membranes to protect the site during healing and initiate fast bone growth. Nevertheless, immediate implants require a precise case selection to achieve full results .

The DENTAL ONE team has the clinical experience to perform immediate installment of implants after choosing the appropriate surgical technique and restorative procedures.
